Also, J. Perry, English is not the “official” language of the U.S. Maria was right there. We don’t have an official language. English is the “prevailing” language, but it was never made official.

Several conservative politicians have wanted to make it official, but were never able to get that off the ground.

I think Skype is one of the best ways of staying in touch with people back home, it’s much more personal than facebook

I also think traveling with somebody helps you deal with culture shocks better, as you have somebody to share our thoughts and feelings with who completely understands as they’re going through the same thing.

adapting to a new culture, does’t mean that you could leave behind all of your cultural traditions,you keep them somewhere inside you when being outside ,but as you return home you can be your own culture.thank you miss Maria,you are so openminded:)
