I just read several of your blogs and found that you’ve explored quite some places in and around Chengdu. FYI – if you don’t already know, you can apply for a gold panda card for 200RMB and visit most of the tourism places in and around Chengdu for free, including the Dufu’s temple, 4 girls mountain (not quite sure about this one, but pretty sure)

Honestly, learn from other students as much as you can while you are there and before you go. There are so many things I realized after a few months that would have helped me day 1. Check out Students Gone Global, launching in January, which will be a blogging network for study abroad students. Share travel tips, connect, and create blogs for your friends, family, and other students.

Nothing more true than #8 change your perspective. I divide my life into two halfs, Pre study abroad and post study abroad. Plus, study abroad has given my new job opportunities. You should make that #11. I’m currently working for Students Gone Global, which is a startup launching in January that will bring a blogging platform to the study abroad community. It’s going to be better than Tumblr or Bloggr since students can better connect to other study abroad students. By making a blog I was able to expand my job opportunities and create a personal brand. Good highlight. Abroad studying may be difficult for initial few days because we have to adjust ourselves with new surroundings. Once it’s done they I think there can be no problem.
